The first thing to really keep in mind and help kids understand is that you can let go of trying

to be fair and trying to convince your kids why you're fair and start to embrace that it is

equitable, that it is about uniqueness of each child and each child's needs, that you don't

love them the same. You love them each for who they are individually. There's a great line in

siblings without rivalry. The line is essentially to not focus on being loved equally, be loved

uniquely. So if you remove the emphasis on equal and fair and comparisons, you actually feel better.
