Summary

Melissa Keown loves history and the outdoors and has a heart for people who are different from her. Melissa is also on the leadership team in the Colorado Springs Colson Fellows Cohort (so she's good friends with Sarah!), and she shares about her experience in the program. When Melissa participated in Colson Fellows, it helped her learn to be a better listener. She also did the program with her daughter, so it was formative for their faith together!

And that is really how our friendship got deeper, right?

I mean, we knew each other, but we just have really bonded over that program.

I want to tell you a little bit about Melissa,

because you really need to understand a context of who she is.

Melissa's kind of this Renaissance woman. I mean, I have to tell you a story that will kind of give you a little perspective on Melissa. So she works at this Rockledge Ranch at Garden of the Gods, which is kind of like a reenacting of, well, maybe I'll let you describe it.

What is Rockledge Ranch?

So Rockledge Ranch is a living history program where we bring history to life using

clothing, cooking, animals, the homes that were built on that site to let people know about

the history of the Pikes Peak region.

She homeschools. She has a ranch with her husband. Melissa is on the leadership team for the
