We return from our trip to Nineveh with Jonah, and today we study 2 Kings 15 and 2 Chronicles

These two chapters are going to teach us a few things today.

First, today's chapters set us up for the ministry of the prophets, Amos and Isaiah.

Second, we will see the contrast between the constant upheaval of Israel's kings versus

the sustained lineage of David and Judah.

And lastly, we will be reminded once again that no earthly king is perfect.

They were all sinners who displayed our need for the perfect King Jesus.

So let's get started and talk about how we see these themes in the events of these chapters.

Even though 2 Kings 15 is bookended by 2 Kings of Judah, we are going to focus on the

kings of Israel in the middle of the chapter.

Then we will talk about the kings of Judah as we come to 2 Chronicles 26.
