0:05.7	with your host, Emma, daughter. Thanks for joining. I am in the podcast studio with one of our elders, Kyle Thompson.
0:14.9	Hey, Emma. Great to be with you. Oh, it is good to have you back, Kyle. Last time you were here,
0:20.8	we didn't have you share your story, how you came to know the Lord.
0:24.2	I would love for you to take just a few minutes to tell us a little bit about your journey.
0:28.7	Yeah, well, I grew up in a great home, but it was not centered on Christ.
0:33.0	I'd never heard the gospel until I went to college, and I'll never forget a guy was sharing with me.
0:39.9	And I just, my immediate thought was if that is all true, then I would have heard it before now.
0:46.7	And so I'd really dismissed all of that.
0:49.6	Got interested in a young woman and started pursuing her, and she found out I was not a follower of
0:56.3	Christ and very appropriately and gently let me know that she would love to be friends with me,
1:02.5	but that that's as far as the relationship with Go. And she shared the gospel with me in a way that
1:09.1	God, I really heard it and it gave it credibility. And so that set me
1:14.5	on a two-year journey in college. And I thought, you know, if she is interested in this, if this marks
1:21.0	her life, I ought to at least learn more about it. So Josh McDow had a huge impact on me. That's when he
1:27.2	was on college campuses.
1:29.0	And so I started an intellectual journey that ended up in a God piercing my heart, me trusting
1:35.3	Christ, my junior year of college. She was dating someone at the time. And so I was focused on
1:43.7	next steps and senior year last semester.
1:47.5	We were in a Bible study together and renewed our friendship. And God used that to lead me a year
1:55.0	later to ask her to marry me. And she is now my wife, Lucina. Shout out, Lucina.
