0:08.8	Thanks for joining. We are back and kicking off the book of judges. I am here with today's Devo Rider and faithful Watermark member, Chris Henschen.
0:18.5	Hey, everybody. How's it going? Chris, it is good to have you here. You serve on our security team, safety team. What do you call it?
0:26.1	Safety and medical team, yes. Safety and medical team. Probably the first time that I can remember
0:31.3	that we have had someone from that team guest on the podcast. So what do y'all do? What do you
0:36.5	do? What is your role?
0:37.9	Yeah.
0:38.2	So we do essentially pastoral care.
0:41.0	It's just a little bit more intense sometimes.
0:43.5	And so whenever somebody asks a question or says something that raises some red flags,
0:49.4	that's kind of when our team gets to come in and just come alongside them and really dive in deep, get to know them,
0:56.3	and make sure that everything on our campus, from the people who are here to the guests that we have,
1:02.6	are all here just with the best intentions and really just to try to keep everybody as safe as we can.
1:08.3	Love it. And Chris, how did you, for those who don't know you,
1:11.9	how did you come to know the Lord, as we typically ask on this podcast? Fast forward then,
1:17.4	what's going on in your life and family today? Yeah. So I came to know the Lord 10, 11 years ago now.
1:23.3	Okay. And so I was in middle school and my life looked a lot different than it did now.
1:29.5	I'm heavily involved in a party scene, heavily involved in drug use and alcoholism.
1:34.1	And then from there, really, I was challenged by a youth pastor to read the book of Mark.
1:40.5	And not your stereotypical, like, hey, youth pastor led me to faith. He just said, hey,
1:47.2	why don't you read Mark? And you were in the party scene in middle school?
1:51.0	I was, yes.
