To give a bit of backgroundy stuff and context to Collins-Raine,

And the succession was managed by this sort of alternating system between brothers.

So rather than going from father to son, it went father to first son, second son, my brother, then to the first brother's sons, then to the first

brother's sons, then to the second brother's sons.

It's getting more and more distance and for a while we've been saying trouble is a Bruin and it is now very much

So things have gone quite well for a decent amount of time.

allies with them against Athlstan of England

then Malcolm the first who allied with the Saxons got a little bit of territory sort of under his control
