The Mailbag episode, part one.

Hello, and welcome to the Eagle and Child, the hallowed pub of the Inklings.

This is a podcast where each week, my friend Matt and I share a beer,

and we discuss the writings of the

author known to the world as Clive Staples Lewis or CS Lewis or just as Jack to his friends.

My name is David and today's episode is going to be a little out of the ordinary. Today I'm going

to be reading some of the mail that you guys have sent in and as usual I'm joined by my co-host

Matt.

This episode will give us a really good chance to express how grateful we are. I mean,

further feedback from the listeners, between the comments that are sent in, the ratings that we've

received in iTunes, the comments that I receive in person, and I know you do with just people

around us that listen to it. And all of the ones

that I send to you because Matt isn't on any social media. So basically when I get a great

message, I'll take a screenshot and send it on to him. So we always end up talking about the messages

that you guys have sent us. And it's overwhelming. I mean, when you do something like this,

you don't actually expect people to necessarily enjoy it or commit 30 minutes of their

week to listening to you. And so it's awesome to be able to receive this feedback. My mother

expects everybody to listen. You know, I love to. Man, actually, it's funny you say that.

My mother barely listens to this. I kid you not. She, after, I think we were probably in episode 20, she goes, I just started listening to a couple on runs.

I think I've got through three of years.

I'm like, Mom, I've had people binge listen to this, and you're on episode three, and we've done like 25 of these.
