Summary

Hello again, Story Club members. Ivy here, your ghostly host with the most. In today’s chilling tale, inspired by my brilliant listener Felix, we travel to a mysterious seaside village where the ocean hides more than seashells. When three curious siblings try to prove an old beach legend is just a silly myth, they discover that some warnings are given for a reason.

Felix was watching documentaries about sea creatures living in the deepest, darkest parts of our oceans,

Ugh, why did we have to come to this creepy old sea village for our summer vacation?

"'Didn't you hear those people at the diner talking about the legend of this place?

"'You mean that ocean monster story those old people were telling? asked Maggie yawning.

It was late and their parents had gone to bed hours ago.

Yeah, that one, the legend of the sea eater, said Gerald slyly smiling.

Those people seemed really scared, like it was a true story.

Yeah, all those people being eaten alive and all that remains are their bones on the beach, said Stephen in an eerie voice. That is the most ridiculous story I've ever heard, said Maggie. I mean, if that story is true, then why are there still people living here? Duh. Well, the town is pretty small and does seem a little empty now that you mention it, said Steve.

And there were signs along the road I noticed on our way here that warned about the beach or something like that.
