Today's Ivy's chilling tale comes from my beloved listener Luella,

in a truly terrifying tale about something that should have been beautiful, but instead turned

into an ugly nightmare. This chilling tale from Luella is called The Moving Crystal.

Luella was 18 years old.

Old enough to stay home alone, old enough to vote, and old enough to know better about everything.

Or so she thought.

In truth, like so many teenagers,

Luella was still not mature enough to realize just how dangerous curiosity can be.

You see, curiosity is terribly important.

One afternoon, Luella's parents left the house to go grocery shopping, leaving Luella by herself.

But Luella had a secret plan.

She had a collection of crystals that she kept on the top of her white IKEA desk, and she loved to save up just enough money to add crystals to her collection.

But now that she was 18, her parents had told her that, instead of spending her money on crystals,

she should be contributing to some of their household costs, like giving some money

towards the water bill or buying laundry detergent.
