I'm Ivy, your ghostly host with the most, and keeper of the strangest,

spookiest tales on earth.

Today is another Ivy's chilling tale.

Today's story comes to us from my beloved listener, Josiah aged five, and it's called

The Invisible Mailman.

Once upon a time in the small quaint village of Whistlebrook lived a man named Mr. Haversham.

He was a friendly man, very outgoing, and he loved to chat with the townspeople

around Whistlebrook. In fact, that was part of the reason why he decided to become a mailman

in the first place. It was the perfect job for him to meet and socialize with others. Mr. Haversham

loved to walk the cobblestone streets of the village, delivering letters

and packages with a warm smile. And everyone in town loved Mr. Haversham.

One blustery autumn day near Halloween, as the wind was whipping through the streets of the village,

Mr. Haversham was walking along on his normal route up Main Street and down Sidewinder Road, delivering the mail.

He had just passed by Rosie Waddingham's house, bringing a giant present for her daughter, Maisie.

He wanted to wait to see Maisie's reaction as she opened the large, elegantly wrapped present.

But he had a job to do. Mail needed to be delivered, so he continued on.

But that's when something extraordinary happened. As Mr. Haversham turned on to Sidewinder

Road, he suddenly felt a cold breeze blow past him, the kind that makes the hair on the back

of your neck raise and gives you goose pimples. He felt the presence of somebody standing right behind him, and as he turned to face them, slash, slash!

Someone had sliced at Mr. Haversham with an intense fury.

Mr. Haversham cried out in pain, looking down to where he had been sliced.
