Mere Christianity, Book 3, Chapter 10. Hope.

Hello, and welcome to the Eagle and Child, the hallow pub of the Inklints.

This is a podcast where each week, my friend Matt and I share a beer, and we discuss

the writings of the author known to the world as Clive Staples Lewis, or C.S. Lewis, or just as

Jack to his friends. My name is David, and last week we were looking at the virtue of charity,

and today we're going to look at another theological virtue with my co-host, with whom I hope

one day to share a nice, fluffy cloud with in heaven. Matt. In that moment, I hope we can be

sitting in that cloud with Jack. Think about that. Having a pipe. I was thinking a glass of scotch.

Maybe I'm going to say, if we're up there, God, can I have some

account 25? Or from the James Bond movie, McCallon 60. I think that's 10,000 hours of life. We're living in

eternity and maybe we could go for far longer. Oh, I like that. McAllen Eternal. Oh, that would be so good. But anyways, I mean, I'd like to be sitting there with him and just telling him what an amazing impact he had in my life.

If you were there, what would you tell him?

I was thinking about, by the way, it crossed my mind right before I said this.

Should I ask, what would you ask Lewis?

But we're going to be in heaven and its ultimate truth.

So there's not really many questions left. True, but we don't know the means by which we would start to receive this truth.

Maybe it is from just talking to the saints.

Well, if that's the case, then, what would you ask them if you prefer that question?
