Today is another Ivy's chilling tale.

This two-wheeled tale story club members might make you reconsider being a bicycle thief.

It's one I call ghost bike.

You wanted a new bike, right? Just take it already. Nobody's looking.

No, Todd, that's not right. You don't get anything in life by not taking it, Adam.

My friend Todd Stout and I were standing at the side of the road. There was a

memorial to a boy named Kyle Bateman who had been struck by a car and killed last week. The bike

he'd ridden, this nice BMX bike, was repaired, painted white, and left at the corner of the street

where he'd been struck. Kyle had only been 13 years old. There were balloons,

flowers, candles, and even teddy bears at the site honoring Kyle's memory. And this bike, it was just

parked there, not chained up or anything. All you have to do is get on it and ride away, Todd said.

We can take it back to my dad's shop and repaint it. Then you can keep it.

But a kid died on this bike, Todd, and this is supposed to be a memorial for him. It's kind of

sick to even be talking about this. I'll just get a new bike in a different way. Todd rolled his

eyes and shook his head and disgust. He was a kid who was always getting in trouble at school,

usually for theft. He was once suspended for stealing always getting in trouble at school, usually for theft. He was

once suspended for stealing school lunch money. Another time, he was caught in somebody's house when they

weren't home. Todd was always in trouble, and he never seemed to learn his lesson. I don't know how I
