I'm Ivy, your ghostly host with the most and keeper of the strangest,

spookiest tales on earth.

Today is another Ivy's chilling tale.

This flighty tale story club members might make you stay away from buzzing honeymakers.

It's one I call zombie.

My friend Sarah screamed and it made me jump out of my sandals.

I asked her what happened.

She limped out of the grass and sat on the curb, grabbing her foot in pain. Sticking in the side of it was a bee stinger.

The flesh around her skin had already turned bright red.

We were out enjoying the sun on this summer day, walking through the grass.

Sarah had taken off her sandals and wanted to feel the grass through her toes.

Apparently, she stepped on a dandelion that

had a bee on it. I told her that I felt bad for the bee. They can only sting you once because then they

die. Sarah peered up at me like I was cracked and told me that I shouldn't care about the dang bee. I

should care about her. My house was just down the street. I told Sarah we could go

mix some baking soda and water and place it on the sting. That's what my mom did when I was stung

five times last summer after accidentally stepping on a beehive. Sarah and I walked slowly toward my

house. She was really struggling and in the ten minutes it took to get to

my house, Sarah had visibly changed. Her foot puffed up all red and then it became gray. In fact,

all of her skin took on an ash in color. I asked her if she was allergic to bee stings. Sarah said she

wasn't, but she didn't feel well at all.
