I've been watching the man across the street for three days now, ever since he moved in.

Maybe I'll turn it over to the police, but I can't do that unless I can somehow prove that Mr. Doyle's a vampire. I know quite a lot about bloodsuckers. I have read everything I can find about them,

and I don't watch any of the movies since they get the facts wrong more often than not.

So now it's Thursday night. Mr. Doyle has left the house, and I am ready.

I pull my black story club hoodie over my head to blend in with the night.

Then I quickly stalk across the yard following Mr. Doyle cautiously from a distance.
