and I'm bringing you Fluesmania, the fun-filled Flues challenge for kiddos of all ages. Today is the Flues

Mania spelling bee, and I have personally selected five marvellous words for you to spell.

Today we are spelling a whole list of miraculous monuments. Do you know what a monument is?

And before you interrupt with your little jokes, Bob the station manager,

no, a monument isn't something to freshen your breath.

Ha ha, ha, very funny.

Now, a monument is a statue, building or other structure built to commemorate a notable person or event.

I'll explain more as we go along, don't worry.

But we'd better get a wriggle on, kiddos.

So race out and find yourself a piece of paper in a pencil, and let's get to those monumental words.

Here comes the first monument for you to spell. The first word here is liberty. Liberty. Now,

do you know why I chose Liberty? No, Bob, before you say your silly little jokes, it's not a type of

tea. Liberty was chosen because of the biggest monument in New York City. The big green

lady with the torch? Any guesses? No, Bob, not Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West. She doesn't

have a torch. I'm talking about the Statue of Liberty. Designated as a national monument in 1924,

the giant statue is a joint effort between France and the US

to commemorate the lasting friendship between the two nations.

To be honest, I would have asked for a gift receipt.
