On our last episode, we began to unravel the chilling case of the Gilgo Beach Four.

The name given to the first group of victims whose remains were found scattered along a remote

wind-swept stretch of sand on Long Island.

What started as a missing persons report for an escort named Shannon Gilbert quickly spiraled

into a full-blown serial murder investigation after the multiple bodies were discovered near Ocean Park.

And then, nothing.

Between 2011 and 2021, for more than a decade, the Gilgo Beach case went cold, ice cold.

Leeds dried up, momentum stalled, and as we discussed previously, Suffolk County law enforcement were embroiled in scandal. As the years dragged on,

families of the victims were left in the dark, just searching for answers that never came.

Can you imagine that you've had a loved one that has been brutally murdered, then discovered,

and then there's so much turmoil inside the police department that you can't even get anybody to focus.
