Hey, everybody, welcome back to the old-fashioned on purpose podcast. So a few weeks ago,

I asked on Instagram what you wanted to see in upcoming

episodes and got a lot of responses and one that came up pretty frequently surprised me. And it

was that you wanted to hear more about horses and my horse journey and what I do with horses.

And I've been sharing over the last few episodes of this season, just how that's such a big part of me and how I'm kind of come full circle on that. And you guys have said actually for a while now that you just want to hear more about that. And that's a piece of myself. I've never really shared much on this platform. So today, I'm going to tell you the story that I've never told before of just how I got into horses and how they brought me here and how they all weave into everything

else I'm doing. I also think there's a bigger overarching theme to this episode. If you're not

into horses, I still think you should listen because really this story is about the idea of

answering the question, who were you before the world told you otherwise? And this idea of

kind of the self-abandonment that we go through as we get older and as we fall into the

lanes and the supposed tos and the shoulds of adult life. And so I invite you to listen,

even if you really have no interest in horses whatsoever whatsoever because that's what this episode is for me.

It's kind of an analysis of that journey and what it means to come back to yourself in a real and true way.

So I'm excited for this.

there's no other way to explain it. From the time I was two or three years old, my parents noticed

that's all I cared about. I have pictures of myself. I've seen them from that era,

birthday parties and such. And it was always horse cakes and horse toys and horse everything.

So I literally was bored with it.

I don't know where it came from.
