Every trauma is two parts. It's what happened to you, and then it's the story that you tell yourself because of what happened.

That's where I need to park my brain. What story am I now telling myself because of what happened?

He doesn't promise us that we'll have a life full of roses and, you know, rainbows.

That's not what the Lord promises, but it does promise to walk

us through everything. I had to learn if I see something, then I've got to have the confidence to say

what I see. And if I hear something, I've got to have the confidence to admit to myself. No, I did hear

that. But where there is smoke, there is a

fire. So I'm not going to ignore the smoke. Chaz thought in me, a woman who tried really,

really, really hard and who fought with everything she had. And that made me to him more attractive,

not less.
