Summary

This week we wrap up Chris' trial. We hear a breakdown of the Defense's witnesses, and Graddick's closing argument.

From NBII Studios, this is Truth and Justice, a crowdsourced investigation in real time. I'm Bob Ruff. The entirety of Chris Bynum's trial lasted less than two full days.

Two days for the prosecution to present all of the evidence against him and call all of their witnesses.

And after all of that, there was still enough time for the defense to put on their full case and get in both closing arguments.

I know I've said this several times before, but I think it bears repeating over and over again.

This was an incredibly complex case, involving five victims spread across two completely different

crime scenes.

And yet somehow, the police had their prime suspect in custody within 24 hours

and the case officially solved within 48.

Then, in just two short days, the entirety of this complicated case was presented to the jury.

And Chris Bynum's fate, as well as justice for all five victims, was supposed to

be determined in a Cliff Notes version of a trial. What I'm going to do today is walk you through

the entirety of the defense's case in chief. After the state finished presenting all of their evidence,

Graddock got his chance to sway the jury in Chris's favor.

And if you thought the prosecution's case was short, you ain't seen nothing yet.
