Summary

The State presented very little evidence against Chris Bynum during the case in chief part of the trial. Ultimately his fate was sealed by the Prosecutor's closing argument, where she weaved together a narrative to convince the jury of his guilt.

0:44.0	Since we went through them out of order, I'm going to quickly walk you through the state's
0:48.3	case in chief, witness by witness, in order, and I'll point out any actual evidence that
0:54.0	they presented against Chris.
0:56.1	First came Kathy Yost, Suzanne and Angela Walker's aunt. No evidence against Chris.
1:02.8	Then Lorraine Marshall, Amps' mom. No evidence. Jacqueline Yerpa. Liz's mom. No evidence.
1:10.6	Sean Barty, Sheila's husband. No evidence. Then came Michelle Flores. She testified that Liz had
1:17.4	written the name Chris and a number on a piece of paper. The number wasn't given and the paper
1:22.8	wasn't entered as evidence. Gene Eggleston. She heard the gunshots from the ball field.
1:28.9	No evidence against Chris.
1:31.0	Terrell Triggs found the bodies at the park.
1:33.9	No evidence against Chris.
1:36.0	Larry Brooks.
1:37.8	He said Chris's name on the stand several times,
1:40.4	and he identified Chris as the killer without ever saying that he saw him. Then Willie
1:46.6	Marshall, Amp's brother. He testified that Amp called him that night and told him a guy named Chris
1:52.2	had come by waving a gun in his face. He also testified that he had seen Chris's girlfriend
1:57.3	earlier that day. That story pretty much fell apart on cross when he was confronted
2:01.6	with his original police statement. Then, Officer John Corros, the first officer to arrive on the
2:07.8	ball field scene. No evidence against Chris. Then Jeff Trevino, the first officer at the house scene.
