I'm Bob Ruff. Oh, Anyone who is willing to be intellectually honest about Jody's conviction, even if they believe Jody is guilty,

has to be willing to admit that the case was about as weak as they come.

To say this case was circumstantial

is a gross understatement.

Look at what we know so far.

No one saw Jody at the crime scene.

None of their DNA or fingerprints were found at the crime scene.

The only usable forensics from the scene was the DNA of a different person found on the shell casings.

A half a dozen witnesses alibi Jody as does their time sheet

from work. The only things tying Jody to to Mario's murder at all are a perceived motive, silencing Mario after the robbery, and Sonia Lucas

testifying that Mario said that Jojo did it as he was dying.

Now of course we know that that never happened.

So he admitted that and she's recanted. But from the jury's perspective

that was the single element, literally the only evidence presented that directly connected Jody to the

murder.

But even that was a witness who had said for months that she didn't see or know anything,

changing her story and delivering hearsay testimony
