Summary

This week's episode takes us from the night of January 12th, through 3:21pm on the 13th.  We hear about Adnan's timeline, the source of Adnan saying his car is in the shop, what time Hae had to pick her cousin up at school, and take a close looks at how the actual call records line up with Jay's story and the prosecution's case against Adnan.

series, where I'm breaking down the coverage of the Prosecutor's Podcast about the Anonsai

0:52.7

Ed Case. Today, I'm going to dig into part three of their series. These next two episodes

0:58.3

in my opinion are the most critical elements of their analysis. In these two episodes,

1:02.7

Brett and Alice break down all the events of January 13th leading up to about 3.45 pm. That's

1:09.3

the day he went missing and was presumably murdered. I've said it before, and I'll say it again,

1:14.8

this case is not nearly as complicated as most people make it out to be. At least in regards

1:21.2

to whether or not Ednon is innocent or guilty. I don't know when you'll be hearing this,

1:26.5

but as I'm recording it, this week, Brett and Alice concluded their series with their final

1:30.8

theories, and they seem to have accomplished what they set out to do. They have convinced

1:35.8

a lot of people who previously believed Ednon is innocent, that he's in fact guilty.

1:42.0

They set him up as they built their case through the first 13 episodes and then knocked him

1:46.4

down with their closing. I keep hearing things like Occam's Razor. The simplest answer is usually

1:53.2

in fact the answer. And I do agree, but the difference between what seems like a clear-cut case of

1:59.3

Occam's Razor to me and what these people are talking about is that they think, well, Gen and J

2:05.4

gave basically the same story, and the cell records roughly match that story, and therefore the

2:10.5

simplest solution has to be that Ednon killed hey. Now the way I see it, that's not the simplest

2:16.4

explanation at all. Basically the same story is not the same thing as corroborating stories.

2:23.9

Gen saying she met up with Ednon and J at one mall after the burial,

2:27.9

and J saying that just he and Gen met at a completely different mall is not the same thing.
