Oh, I there. It's a pleasure to have you with us here this evening. You know, the days are growing shorter. The night's growing colder, there's a crisp in the air,

and I've already seen a couple trees begin their annual change from Emerald to gold, amber,

and crimson. And that tells me that spooky season is just around the corner. And although it doesn't officially start here for another week

or so, I'm already in that spooky mood. So tonight should be a lot of fun. So what do you say

we get this thing rolling? Beginning with Catherine out of Washington State.

Hi Derek. this is Catherine calling again from Washington State. This is a quick story,

kind of a fun experience we had. We were out camping on Manasash Ridge, which is in central Washington near Ellensburg.

And we were out on a morale hunting trip that weekend.

So it was a new moon.

This was June 19th through the 21st that weekend.

And I believe it was the night of the 20th, Saturday night. There, again, it was a new moon.

There were no clouds in the sky. It was clear. So very dark out. Of course, we're far away from civilization.

So even darker where we are. And we're all tucked into our little two-man backpacking tent,

camping out in the middle of this field.

There's no one around again.

We are pretty close to a just like a back road, forest road.

But we would definitely hear a car if it was coming up or down that road and also people

because we're in this meadow.
