But first, I got to spend a little more time on this budget bill and reconciliation because I've gotten a couple of text messages from some friends today who say, why didn't they ban gender affirming

care in reconciliation? The Senate Republicans had a piece of legislation. They wanted to put

into reconciliation.

It would have banned gender affirming care.

The Senate parliamentarians said it wasn't related, violated the Byrd Rule, and they had to throw it out.

And I see a lot of Republicans online, and I've gotten some text messages from friends of mine saying,

why did they just overrule the parliamentarian?

They could have overruled the parliamentarian. They could have put it in.

Take your emotions of what you want out of this.
