In this episode we're breaking down Jen's recorded interview and the events that led up to it.

And this is a pretty important episode, or at least it was for the prosecutors, because this is the episode where they essentially presented

the state's narrative that Jen talked to the police before the police ever

talked to Jay and she had a lawyer present and therefore Adnon must be guilty. The logic is pretty simple and it's accurate.

If the police went to Jen before they ever talked to Jay, then Jen's story, while it could have come from

Jay could not have come from the police,

which of course is the most widely accepted theory as to where Jay's narrative came from.

But the key word there is if, if Jen talked to the police before Jay did, which is what

we're going to be focusing on in the first segment.

In the second segment, I'll break down the key elements of Jen's statement.

As far as Brent and Alice, I don't really see a need to talk about their presentation on this one.

Their episode is mostly them reading Jen statement and sharing their opinions about it.

Since I'm not doing this to argue about opinions, I don't see that as an effective use of our time.

Basically, they think Jen is being honest, and for the most part I agree with them.

I believe that Jay told

Jen the things that she's saying in this interview. I think she's adding in some

details that she knows aren't true but the bulk of the story comes from Jay, and I think she probably believed him.
