and kind of create this alchemy of old and new.

Now, it's no secret that I probably live more in the modern world than the old fashion world, right? I drive cars, we have a house with electricity and running water, and so I'm living very much a modern existence but weaving those

old-fashioned skills in when they suit us and our goals. But all that said I have

always been fascinated by the idea of going completely off-grid and being

completely free of any sort of modern grid system.

And over the years I've had a couple of different guests on who have shared some of their

strategies for going off grid and we've talked about how they do all the things and I thought it was time to have

another conversation around this topic because frankly I find it really

interesting and even if I never plan to go fully off-grid I always think there's something we can

learn from those who have gone all in if you will. So when today's guests at me an email I knew I wanted to have around and have a conversation. So I am so excited to be joined by Risa today. She is raising her son in a tiny off-grid home.
