I'm the host of this episode of the Cycling Podcast in which we will divert, not avert our gaze towards the southern Mediterranean,

where almost the entirety of the pro peloton has taken up residence before Christmas, as per

the annual tradition. This will, in fact, be the first of two consecutive special bulletins

from December Costa Crawl of Spanish training camps.

Uniquely, historically, I think both episodes this week and next will feature only

journalists with the first name, Daniel.
