Summary

The third Grand Tour of the 2025 season kicks off from Turin, Italy, at the weekend – and as ever we’ll be there on the ground with our daily coverage. Before that, we take a deep dive into the route and riders with three of our Vuelta team: Daniel Friebe, Brian Nygaard and new signing Dani Arribas.

Can Jonas Vingegaard reclaim centre stage with his nemesis, Tadej Pogačar, opting not to start? Or will Pogačar’s UAE team-mates Juan Ayuso and João Almeida still be able to thwart the Dane and his Visma-Lease a Bike team? In Lionel’s absence… time for some speculation.
