So before we start digging into Ruby, tell me a little bit about your coding background and what you're working on now.

Long story from my background is I'm self-taught.

I've been a web developer since web applications became more popular. And last decade or so, I've had some opportunities to teach other developers in the form of writing books and teaching online courses. And I've taken them. It's been a lot of fun.
