But the one good thing that came out of it is that I was exposed to a lot of lesser-known

CSS properties.

Wei Jing talks about how playing professional basketball led to becoming a developer,

how she became a CSS expert, and why you should always read the specs.

Hi. Thank you so much for having me.

So you came into coding from a pretty non-traditional route. You played

basketball full-time in Malaysia. I think you might be our first basketball player that we've had on

the show. Can you tell us how you went from basketball to development? I used to play basketball

full-time. And I say full-time, when people say, oh, professionally, I'm like, no, professionally

needs to get paid.

Big difference. Yeah, but this was like the national team. And, you know, being 19, you're like,

yeah, the flag is the biggest, like, that's the biggest thing. I don't, who needs money? What is money,

right? But all jokes aside, it was really one of those things. It's like a highlight of your life.

So how it works in Malaysia is that you do a centralized training thing.

So I think it's slightly different in the States or in most countries where there's like this big competition.

You are with your own clubs for the most of the year and then you go for the national team.
