This week, we're going to take a look at a lead in the case that came to investigators

in 2015 and some interesting insight from a neighbor who seemed to have a better grip

on the investigation than the actual investigators. This is season 12, episode 64, lingering questions.

In 2015, a letter was sent to the Riverside Sheriff Investigators from a private investigator

regarding information that his client had regarding the pinion pines murders. Mark Thomas

Thayer was in the Indio jail for stealing a bike when this letter was written. This is

My client is Mark Thomas Thayer regarding triple homicide and pinion pines 2006 or 2007.

Male subject used to live in pinion pines, now lives in a mobile home park in Palm Springs

area. The guy told him enough about incident, mentions burning bodies, and also had a shotgun

and a handgun at the time. The guy's sister apparently came to this area from out of state

and picked up the shotgun and handgun and took them from home or at least away from him.
