Just two episodes in, and this case is already revealing itself as one of the most complex

that we've ever investigated. All we've done so far is begin to assess victimology and try to

put together a timeline of Becky's day, and we've been hit immediately with dozens of questions.

The purpose of today's episode is aimed at looking deeper into Becky's life and her timeline.

Want to make clear before we move ahead any further, that we are nowhere even close to looking

into suspects yet. We are still way at the beginning stages of an evidence-driven investigation

and not a suspect-driven investigation. So do your best not to jump to any conclusions.

Our goal today is just to try to get a little more clarity. I'm going to do that by sharing

with you two police interviews. Both were conducted on the Monday after the bodies were found.

First, you're going to hear from Javier Garcia, who's actually Javier Garcia Jr.

Since he is the source of the information that we have about Becky going on a hike on the night

that she was killed. And secondly, you're going to hear Robert Papers' police interview from

later that day. He is the ex-boyfriend who, according to Javier, was planning to go hiking with Becky

on Sunday night. Like I told you in the follow-up on Friday, I'm going to be saving any analysis

and commentary for the follow-up this week. You'll have plenty to digest today without hearing
