I was set on being a Mounted Police Officer from a young age, but I knew it had to move

to make it happen, and for me, the Met presented endless opportunities.

From joining as a PC at age 23, I went into a variety of roles, from emergency response

to public order policing. As a sergeant in the Mounted Branch, my dream job became reality.

Now I've been promoted to Inspector, I can't wait to see where my career takes me next.

Radio. This is Beyond the Darkness, I'm your host Dave Schrader, and today it will

this entire week. We're calling it Turn Your Eyes to the Skies, as we're going to be

talking about different aspects of ufology, abductions, alien encounters, and talking

to people from around the world, different belief systems. Today we're starting off with

a gentleman, Barry H. Downing is a pastor, a meritist of North Minster Presbyterian Church

in N. Well, New York, where he retired in 2001 after serving as pastor for 34 years.

He served interim pastoral positions in Ithaca and Binghamton, and with his wife Eleanor

helping in work leadership. He most recently served as interim pastor of Conclin Presbyterian

Church in Conclin, New York, and he held several positions at the denominational level, including

serving as moderator of the Presbyterian of the Susquehanna Valley twice. He published

the book The Bible and Flying Saucers Back in 1968, which has been reprinted several times

in the United States and in England, as well as being published in Italian in 2012. He's

argued that biblical events like the parting of the Red Sea and possibly even the resurrection

of Jesus may be UFO related events. He's here with us this evening to talk about his
