If you read much of the American press today about Anthony Blinken going to meet the Chinese, you would come across with

this celebratory worshipful news.

But you have to understand something I think the Western press does not understand.

China is a nation that deals in symbolism.

It is a nation that uses image and story to tell things, not necessary explicit statements.

And the explicit statements made or that great progress was made.

If you ask the question on what, they won't say.

Just that great progress was made.

Great progress.

What is that great progress?

We don't know. What we do know is that great progress? We don't know.

What we do know is that Anthony Blinken, on Chinese soil, decided to reiterate our Taiwan policy.

The Taiwan policy is a statement that we believe Taiwan should not be an independent nation.

Now, this is a longstanding American policy. We've just never uttered it on Chinese soil until Anthony Blinken was pushed into saying
