Juneteenth to all of you, the holiday for white people to feel like they care.

I walked into my office today and there's nobody around. I was like, what's going on?

Somebody says, well, it's Juneteenth?

I said, oh, I forgot that was now a holiday.

And they rushed to make sure that everybody had the day off of it.

Just now, listen, I have friends who are convinced Juneteenth is a backdoor progressive conspiracy to undermine the 4th of July.

Only if you let them and enjoy your day off stewing over that.

Listen, I won't mince words here.

I was an advocate well before it was a federal holiday for Juneteenth to be a federal holiday.

For those of you don't appreciate or understand what it is, is there were still after the Civil War slaves in pockets of the country.

And it took a very long time for notice of the Emancipation Proclamation to make it all the way to Galveston, Texas.

And it did on June 19th, well after the war was over.

And June 19th has become Juneteenth.

And it was a local celebration in Galveston.

It became a state holiday in Texas.
