but we decided to release it early in this season because Cobol's been in the news.

States like New Jersey, Kansas, and Connecticut all have unemployment insurance systems that still run on COBOL.

And because of COVID-19, they've been overwhelmed by the number of pandemic-related job losses

and in desperate need of developers who understand the 60-year-old programming language.

So here's our episode on that very language.
