Summary

How do you turn a passion for herbs into one of the most pioneering and sustainable companies of our time? That’s the question Holly poses to Sebastain Pole, co-founder of Pukka Herbs on this week's episode.

After years of studying to become a Master Herbsmith,  Sebastian spied an advert in a local magazine, placed by Tim Westwell, looking for creative business ideas related to herbalism. As the only person to respond, the seeds were sown and they embarked upon creating a mission led business, with truly ethical roots.

It is a conversation that speaks volumes about staying true to your values, never wavering from your vision and the power of building a business that balances purpose with profit.

#AD Conversations of Inspiration is brought to you with support from Dell Technologies.

fall on the counter as each morning I try and make a cuppa, but that didn't take away from

the beautiful conversation that we had. And one of the things that sprung to mind was

how many businesses start by chance. And here Sebastian speaks so fondly about when Tim

puts an ad in a magazine and Sebastian answers it. And in a way as they say the rest is history

and of course throughout the entire interview both Sebastian and I were sipping on our

0:49.2

pucker tea of choice. Make sure you make yourself a brew because you're going to enjoy this one.

gone on to launch Holly and Co. I'm the UK ambassador of creative small businesses and I believe

that having a business doing what you love is the key to a happy fulfilled life. My dream is to

help everybody start theirs. I'm here to offer advice, inspiration, wisdom and encouragement.

1:32.4

And in my view the best way to do this is by sharing stories. So I've reached out to my favorite

1:39.7

small businesses, entrepreneurs and those who simply inspire me and ask them to share theirs.

With thanks to Dell Technologies who've helped bring this free podcast to life. Here are my

conversations of inspiration. Hi Sebastian, what a pleasure it is to meet you. Now you won't know

2:00.8

this but you're the man that causes quite a few arguments in my kitchen each morning. And the

2:05.9

reason being is that the tea bags, the sort of builders teas at the front and all my puckities

2:11.6

are behind and what happens I know but that's where the boys put it downstairs and what happens

2:17.4

each morning is when they go to get it my puckities all fall out and then we have this whole
