I'm your guide, Derek Hayes.

Hey there, everyone.

It's mighty kind of you to stop by.

Now, I have quite a show set up for this evening.

An episode cramful of monsters, mysteries, and even a ghost or UFO or two.

So I'd like to say I'd waste no time in getting started.

But first, I can't help but notice the influx of strange things in our skies, as of late.

Some explainable,

like the Starlink satellite program and the recent Space X Falcon 9 launch, that also introduced a new Starlink into orbit. But then there's the unexplained, the hovering man

seen over Los Angeles's LAX airport, seen on several occasions,

and the more recent American Airlines pilots that reported a near miss with an unidentified

flying object over New Mexico at 37,000 feet. But if you know anything about the paranormal,

you would know that none of this is new.

We've discussed many similar sightings to all of these accounts on the show at one point or another.

Now, you see, the fact is we've been seeing strange things in the skies for a very long time.

And residents of a small Iowa town can certainly validate that claim.

Back in 1903, a visitor changed the way residents of the tiny hamlet of Van Meter viewed the skies above them.

A visitor that terrorized a town and nearly single-handedly put it on the map.
