A lot of the headlines, except for out of the gate what we need to talk about, are almost repetitious headlines,

which allows me a little more flexibility and stuff I want to cover and how I want to cover it and the angles I want to cover it.

And we'll get there with some stuff.

But out of the gate, we have to begin with what I think is a really big story that we can't underestimate.

The Olympics are now ongoing in China. I had worried about how the American media might cover it. And to his credit, Jake Tapper

at CNN is one of the most vocal critics of China across the media. Jake Tapper at CNN is doing a series on China and its human rights abuses.

The BBC has stepped up, a Dutch reporter in China, during a live broadcast back to the Netherlands,

got taken off the air by the communist Chinese for daring to talk about some of those human rights concerns.

They shut that reporter down.

Meanwhile, in this country, Nancy Pelosi is telling our athletes they need to shut up because they don't want to get in trouble in China.

Yes, Nancy Pelosi, the Speaker of the House, is encouraging silence of our

athletes in China. I understand her concern. I don't want to blow this out of proportion to a

degree in that they could be punished, but I think she should be encouraging them all,

strengthen numbers,

to stand up.

It's appalling.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the United States of America would encourage

American athletes to keep quiet in light of human rights abuses that aren't alleged.
