It's time to move on from the phone calls, I think, about the president, President Trump.

We've got other stuff we need to talk about still.

I do want to talk about the Georgia runoff.

Raphael Warnock and Herschel Walker are going to battle for the Senate in Georgia.

It'll be a runoff December 6th.

Democrats are claiming because of Robert E. Lee holiday in Georgia that you can't vote on the weekend.

That's not exactly true.

Georgia used to designate the day after Thanksgiving as Robert E. Lee Day.

And it was a state holiday.

In 2015, they left the state holiday

but scrapped designating it as Robert E. Lee Day.

The reality is that the state of Georgia

did not want its employees to have to go to work

for the day after Thanksgiving.

And in old days, they said, well, we'll celebrate Robert E. Lee.

And in current times, the Republicans and the Democrats alike agree, we're not going to celebrate

him, but we don't want employees to go to work.

So the Democrats are making hay out of it because there is a law on the books in Georgia

that says there can be no early voting on a Saturday within two days of a holiday.

So because Thanksgiving is on a Thursday, there can be no early voting on a Saturday.
