Hey everyone, welcome back to the old fashioned on purpose podcast.

So as you know, a lot of the topics I cover here are based around old fashioned skills

and a lot of them are really practical nitty gritty tutorial type of things.

But today I want to talk about an old fashioned skill or maybe an old fashioned concept

rather that's just as important as learning how to canned tomatoes or baking sourdough

bread or keeping chickens.

And this one I think has the potential to impact us even more than those things and

is just as important.

But it often kind of gets pushed to the wayside, especially in our very technology based culture.

And hope that topic is, how can we build community?

That's a really old fashioned concept that's really kind of hard to grasp these days in

our worlds of text messages and Facebook accounts and screens that keep us separated
