On October 30th, 1996, Jennifer Jeff Lee signed a written statement, typed by Wayman Allen

that implicated her in the murder of Catalina Palimino. Detective Allen testified that this

statement was Jennifer's fourth version of events, and that he believed it to be the truth.

In the statement, Jennifer claims to have been assisting two men in a robbery when Catalina

was murdered. She named the two men. Ernest Watson, a guy named Tim, who she knows as slow.

Based on Allen's investigative reports, it appears that both Ernest and Tim are fictitious

characters. They don't exist. And so it would seem that at least some of Jennifer's confession

is false.

At this point, we need to take a step back. We have to start analyzing all of these statements,

one by one, beginning with her first version of events. In order to identify elements of Jennifer's

statement that are true, we need to know what the crime scene looked like. And the best way to do

that is to break down the statements from the early witnesses who we know were not involved in the
