Last week, we broke down the direct examination testimony of the lead detective responsible for

investigating the murder of Catalina Palomino, detective Wayman Allen. Throughout direct,

prosecutor D Glazer danced around some tricky areas of the case in order to present Allen's

testimony as a solid guilty argument against Jennifer Jeffey. The key elements that came through

to the jury during direct were the fact that Jennifer changed her story several times.

Her pre-confession statements were known to be false because of other witness statements that

were accepted as true. There was a large butcher knife missing from the kitchen,

and the big one, Jennifer's confession. As well as the cherry on top, the implication that

Catalina was in fact killed with a large butcher knife. This week, we're going to examine how

Jennifer's defense attorney, Brian Coyne, tried to turn the tables during cross examination.
