Hey friends, so we've had a couple episodes lately or on the topic of old fashioned childhood, what that looks like and how we can facilitate that for our kids.

And a really big part of an old fashioned childhood.

And hopefully also our modern childhood experiences is that kids and nature go together really, really well.

But unfortunately it's an aspect of raising kids that's not what it used to be.

And so I'm so excited to have the foremost thought leader and expert on this topic with us today.

Jenny Eurek is all about the world of nature-based play and its benefits for children.

You might have come across her podcast or her Instagram account a thousand hours outside.

It's fantastic content. So much good stuff there. And she's a mother of five and also the founder of the 1000 hours outside challenge.

So let's just, I'm just going to dive right in because that's just how I roll.

You know, as homesteaders, have you ever done a homestead podcast before?

Is it kind of on the periphery? You may be of your.

Yeah, I have. I have.

Okay. Yeah, we've got a little, we've got a little hobby farm here.

So I'm in the world a little bit here in the world. Okay, awesome.

I'm going to go across over. It's really it's I think it does segues really well.

But obviously as homesteaders, our kids are outside, maybe more than average.

They have more to do outside. It's kind of more of our lifestyle.

But I know that with, you know, maybe the rest of the world, that's not as normal.

So for the homestead parents listening, some of the stuff you might hear today could be, you know, you're already aware, but you're already doing it.

But for maybe those of you who aren't quite in the homestead world, or maybe you have kids who aren't digging outside activities.
