Let's get into discussing Proverbs chapters 25 through 27.

These chapters include proverbial sayings of King Solomon. As you may remember from reading

First Kings, Solomon reigned as King of the Israelites. To serve the people well, God gave Solomon wisdom.

Solomon's insight guided people to truth and encouraged rulers after him. We see that in the beginning of chapter 25 of proverbs, King

Hezekiah, who was the king of Judah, who ruled after after Solomon desired to live in the Lord's wisdom and

copied Solomon's words for his own counsel. These proverbs contained biblical wisdom or advice for a king to understand his

calling and how to go about this responsibility in wisdom. For example, Proverbs 25 verse 2 and 3 states,

it is the glory of God to conceal a matter, but the glory of Kings to investigate a matter.

As the heavens are high and the earth is deep,

so the heart of kings cannot be investigated. This is the first nugget of truth that we read in Hezekhaya's copy of Solomon's Proverbs.
