Welcome to a year in the Bible with daily grace. The Bible tells one big story of

redemption and we want to spend five minutes every day journeying through the Bible from start to finish, and exploring how all of it

0:16.8

points to Jesus. Hey everybody welcome back to a year in the Bible with daily grace. My name is

Jenny and today we are concluding the book of Micah. Yesterday you met a man named Micah who was a prophet that lived

0:35.4

around the same time of Isaiah. In his book he warns the people of Judah that

0:39.9

if they do not turn from their wicked ways then God's wrath will be upon them.

1:57.0

sounds a lot like a loss.

1:59.6

God promises to remove their horse, wreck their chariots, remove their cities, and tear down all of their

2:07.9

fortresses. He also promises to remove carved images and sacred pillars so that people will no longer

2:15.0

worship the work of their hands. This leads us into chapter 6 where God

brings a lawsuit against Judah. Now just to clarify this isn't a lawsuit in the way we think

2:26.8

about today. Rather this is God's explanation of all the things Judah has done wrong. This is a gift to us as modern day readers because it helps us understand God's heart, his justice, but also his love for his people. He explains that they continue to try to please
