Hey everybody, welcome back to a year in the Bible with Daily Grace. This is Stephanie,

your host through the book of Leviticus. Today we are covering chapters 10, 11, and 12.

The first few verses of chapter 10 introduce the drama that will unfold in the next portion

of the book. The dob and abihu who are Aaron's two oldest sons and part of the priesthood

are consumed by fire because they did not do what the Lord commanded. It's unclear exactly

how they diverted, but there are a few driving principles. First, God's people are to take

his commands seriously. God's holiness is to be revered by careful obedience. Also, appointed

leaders are expected to carefully and reverently obey God's commands and lead the congregation
