Welcome to a year in the Bible with Daily Grace. The Bible tells one big story of redemption,

0:09.1

and we want to spend five minutes every day journeying through the Bible from start to

finish and exploring how all of it points to Jesus.

Hey everybody, welcome back to a year in the Bible with Daily Grace. My name is Jenny,

0:26.9

and today we are talking about Joshua 16 through 18. Yesterday, we saw how God delivered

0:33.2

the rest of the promised land to the Israelites, and they began the process of dividing the

and the Israelites eventually begin to worship false gods because of their decision to

1:35.5

not force the Canaanites to leave. But Israelites and faithfulness is interrupted by a peaceful

1:41.5

scene where the Tabernacle, God's dwelling place, is set up for the first time in the promised

1:47.6

land. Here, they place the Tabernacle in Shiloh as a reminder that God has fulfilled

1:53.8

His promise to Abraham to deliver this land to them. This shows that even when the Israelites

2:00.4

are unfaithful, He is faithful and desires to make a dwelling among us. The reminder of God's

2:06.9

faithfulness continues in chapter 18 when Joshua reminds the seven tribes who have not yet taken
