hosea 7, hosea continues to be a mouthpiece for God as God speaks of Israel's

disobedience. God describes how instead of being a set-apart nation, Israel has mixed themselves with other nations and adopted their idle worship.

In a second lament, God mourns over Israel by describing how Israel does not recognize or turn to him.
