| 0:00.0 | Welcome to a year in the Bible with Daily Grace. The Bible tells one big story |
| 0:06.8 | of redemption, and we want to spend five minutes every day, journeying through |
| 0:12.1 | the Bible from start to finish and exploring how all of it points to Jesus. |
| 0:23.1 | Hey friends, welcome back to a year in the Bible with Daily Grace. My name is |
| 0:28.1 | Shelby Turner. I'm one of your hosts for this podcast, and today we are going to |
| 0:31.5 | talk about chapters four through six of the book of Hebrews. If you missed |
| 0:35.4 | yesterday's episode, go back and have a listen as it explains some of the |
| 0:39.2 | background information of this book, and I think it'll be really helpful for |

| 1:17.1 | Testament, the high priest would enter the most holy place, which is where God's |
| 1:21.9 | presence dwelt with his people only one day a year on the day of atonement. The |
| 1:27.4 | high priest would sprinkle the blood of sacrificed animals on the altar to |
| 1:32.4 | atone for the sins of the entire nation of Israel, and then they would leave the |
| 1:36.8 | most holy place, and they would not enter it again until the day of atonement |
| 1:40.9 | the next year. Jesus, however, is a better high priest. He is the great high priest. |
| 1:47.4 | He atoned for the sins of the world one time, for all time, with his own |
